Bio Al Galvez' Television and Film production company Space Cadette Entertainment, is based in L.A. and houses its own music publishing and licensing division. He is also a principal and leading actor on two ongoing television shows: Space Cadette Entertainment's PASSENGER, a Sci-Fi show which he wrote, produced, and plays the lead role of Michael, a conflicted Archangel hit-man on earth, and NBC Universal's RPM Miami, where he plays the colorfully rotten bad guy role of 'Chulo.' PASSENGER recently won an Accolade industry award of excellence, for new Television pilot, as well as being an official selection on various festivals. And RPM Miami's season one was one of the top rated shows across all cable programming. Al Galvez was born and raised in Peru, grew up in Miami, and has been residing in Los Angeles for five years. Growing up with an Architect and painter for a father, and a poet and musician for a mother. Al was groomed, and destined to be an artist from the time he was born. He attended magnet and conservatory schools for most of his education, and graduated from the prestigious New World School of the Arts high school, for painting, design, sculpture and drawing, and founded its video/film program on his senior year. While attending New World, he received a National Endowment for the Arts Award and The Marie Walshe Sharp Merit Scholarship for his work. He also received numerous merit scholarships to attend some of the top art colleges in the nation, including The Chicago art Institute, CalArts, and The Boston Museum Conservatory. Al eventually accepted the Sobel full merit scholarship to study experimental film and conceptual art at the San Francisco Art institute in California. Once there, he fell in love with the music scene and began playing every coffee house he could find, launching his career as a singer song writer and recording artist. This journey led Al to co-found his own record label, publishing and production company, Space Cadette Entertainment. Al released numerous records with his band "A kite is a victim: (AKIAV) through his label, and signed a record deal with Codiscos in Colombia with his rock group Enemigo Sol, touring around the world for years. He also collaborated with other labels & artists, such as his co-writing and publishing deal with the Estefan Group. Space Cadette created the Television show 'Barcode' with Fox under the guidance of Barry Dillar and he worked as a producer for the Univision Television Network. His experience in the various areas within the entertainment field would see him go from marketing, to become the head of the Talent Dept. at the Winter Music Conference. Eventually, Al's natural bilingual abilities, look, and ease on stage, began landing him numerous high profile national commercials in front of the camera, as the face and voice of many major product campaigns on both the hispanic and General market. This quickly led to major acting offers and roles on Television and Film.
